Project Spotlight: WSU Apartment Complex, Wichita, KS

WSU Apartments

Wichita State University continues to adapt to the needs of today’s students. Its newly-expanded, modern campus is a model for preparing students for an evolving business environment and the benefits of public-private partnerships. With the development of WSU’s Innovation Campus, which began last year to foster collaboration, ideation and applied learning between students and potential employers, the university experienced increasing demand for on-campus housing.

With financing provided by Bank SNB – led by commercial banker Patrick Ritchie – local developer MWCB began construction on a new WSU apartment complex in September. Set to open by the 2017-2018 academic year, the complex will hold 285 residents in fully-furnished apartments and include amenities such as a swimming pool, exercise room, sand volleyball court and more. More importantly, the apartments put students within walking distance of Innovation Campus’ advanced technology, laboratories, restaurants and retailers.

Bank SNB proudly supports the efforts of MWCB and WSU to advance student access to creative spaces that better equip them for some of tomorrow’s most desired careers.
