Project Spotlight: MaGi Foods, San Antonio, Texas
MaGi Foods is a culinary company out of San Antonio, Texas, that celebrates flavors from around the world. Founded in 2007 by husband and wife duo Matt and Kathleen Mayes, the company includes two brands, Louisiana Purchase Foods, which explores the flavors of Cajun and Creole cuisine, and Kathleen’s Foods, an eclectic assortment of gluten-free and all-natural products available in convenient on-the-go cups.
Originally, Kathleen’s Foods’ on-the-go cups were manufactured in California. However, the Mayes recently obtained Bank SNB financing that allowed them to bring manufacturing of the cups in-house – enhancing their quality control of the product. Banker Rob Adams worked with MaGi Foods to understand the brands’ current opportunities, as well as their desired futures, and determined growth capital financing was the best solution for their needs.
Now the quality of the on-the-go cups is in Matt and Kathleen’s control, as is their financial future.
