The towns of Hutchinson and South Hutchinson, support economic growth by being home to the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center, the Kansas State Fair and the NJCAA Men's Basketball National Championship Tournament. Hutchinson is in the heart of Kansas and stays lively all year round! Affectionately known as "Salt City" due to the vast underground salt mines, Hutchinson was built along the banks of the Arkansas River just 40 miles northwest of Wichita. South Hutchinson was built on solid Midwest values and Bank SNB continues to invest in the community to support the growth and development of both South Hutchinson and Hutchinson.
Originally Bank of Kansas, the bank was founded in 1904 and Southwest Bancorp purchased Bank of Kansas in 2007 and in 2013 merged their Kansas location into the Texas and Oklahoma operation to have the regions all under one brand, Bank SNB.
